Chapter Four                I sat in numb shock after hearing the news. Melinda Finster was dead. The finality of that statement struck me hard. It felt as if I had been punched in the stomach. Chapter Three    I woke up in a cold sweat. I had dreamt of my past. The night of Stu’s bachelor party. The mistakes I made then. Mistakes. They were my mistakes. I had to atone for them. That is one of the reasons I was dedicated to taking care of Angelica. My mistakes had led to her creation. I couldn’t just turn a blind eye to that. She was my daughter and I her father. I promised myself I would take care of her no matter what.              I sat up on the couch. It was six in the morning. Charlotte will have already left. Even if she didn’t have work that day, which she did, I was sure she would have been gone anyways

Chapter Two    Cynthia White was a drug head. She was addicted to all manner of drugs, including weed, heroin, and prescription pain killers. This affected her physical appearance. The first time I met her, while my memory of that night may be hazy, I remember her having spiked hair, an unwashed orange dress, and being unusually skinny. She was not my type of woman at all. In fact, had I not been under the influence of alcohol, I doubt I would have had anything to do with the woman.              It all happened one night at my brother Stu’s bachelor party.
